US Med-Equip selected as Premier AscenDrive supplier
(HOUSTON) – Hospitals are turning to smarter options to ensure they can provide the best patient care with the highest quality equipment without busting their budget. In a move that streamlines movable medical equipment rentals for member organizations, healthcare improvement company Premier awards US Med-Equip (USME)—the nation’s leading provider of rented medical equipment—a three-year contract as part of the company’s new AscenDrive group purchasing program.
USME partners with top hospitals and other healthcare facilities nationwide for the rental, sales, biomedical repair service and asset management of movable medical equipment—diagnostic and clinical devices ranging from infusion pumps and patient monitors to ventilators, incubators, telemetry systems and more. The company takes orders around the clock, aiming to deliver available equipment within two hours plus drive time.
The AscenDrive program identifies and implements supply chain performance opportunities for participating facilities among Premier’s alliance of more than 4,400 U.S. hospitals and health systems. This contract awards offers AscenDrive collaborative members 24/7 on-demand access to USME’s life-saving devices, biomedical expertise and industry-leading technology proven to significantly reduce costs by supporting the efficient use, preventative maintenance and management of medical equipment.
“Front-line clinicians need the highest quality medical equipment to give patients the best care possible, and they need it to be patient-ready and within reach at a moment’s notice,” USME Chief Development Officer Tim Heck said. “US Med-Equip is excited to pass the Premier AscenDrive savings on to hospital partners nationwide while continuing to provide the unsurpassed service and support we’re known for.”
US Med-Equip, recognized as a Top Workplace, serves thousands of hospitals from more than 50 locations across the country with more on the way. The 40-month contract with USME offers Premier’s AscenDrive members specially negotiated pricing and terms beginning July 1.
