The Nellcor N-600 Pulse Oximeter is indicated for the continuous non-invasive monitoring of functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO2) and pulse rate. The N-600 is intended for use with neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients who are well or poorly perfused, in hospitals, hospital-type facilities, intra-hospital transport, and home environments.

Through the use of the four softkeys, the operator can access trend information, select an alarm limit to be changed, choose the language to be used, adjust the internal time clock, and change communications protocol. The N-600 can operate on AC power or on an internal battery. The controls and indicators for the N-600 are illustrated and identified in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
